Day 01 : Arrival in Kathmandu

Welcome to Kathmandu, the capital and cultural hub of Nepal! We’ll be waiting to welcome you at the Tribhuvan International Airport.From there you will be transferred to the Hotel by privet vehicle.We will brief about your trip activities. You’ll have rest of the day at leisure.
Overnight at Hotel B/B.

Day 02: Katmandu - Zhangmu - Nyalam Overnight in guesthouse.

Day 03: Acclimatization in NYALAM

Free day at Nyalam for acclimatization. You can make short excursions around Nyalam. Overnight at Nyalam Guesthouse or Hotel.

Day 04: NYALAM TO SAGA (4600m) 250km-7hours

Today we drive for approximately 250 km to Saga (4464m). While driving to Saga, we will be passing over the Thong-La Pass 5200m, also known as Lablung La, which is our highlight of today. From Nyalam it takes 2 hours to reach the high pass, you can see the magnificent view of the Himalayan range including Mt. Shisapangma, the highest mountain in tibet. Saga is a growing town situated at the bank of river Brahmaputra. Overnight at Camp

Day 05: SAGA TO PARYANG (4550m) 260 Km- 6 hours

Today we drive about 260 km to reach Paryang (4500m). Overnight at Camp.

Day 06: PARYANG TO LAKE MANSAROVER (4550m) 280 km-7hours

Drive of about 280km to Mansarovar camp (15400ft) at the shore of Mansarovar. Overnight stay at Guest house.

Day 07: LAKE MANSAROVAR TO DARCHEN (4663m) 4hours

Morning Pooja, holy bath at Mansarovar. After lunch, Mansarovar Khora by land cruiser. Short drive to Dharchen (base camp of Kailash) 15600ft.

Day 08: Full day at Tarboche for Saga Dawa Festival Guest house or camp.

Day 09: Trek to Drira-Puk (4765m)

Day 10: Trek to Zuthul-Puk (4700m)

Day 11: Arrive Darchen, drive to Tirthupuri.

Overnight in guesthouse.

Day 12: Tirthupuri - Tsaparang.

Overnight in guesthouse.

Day 13: Tsaparang -visit of Guge Kingdom and Toling Temple. 

Overnight in guesthouse.

Day 14: Tsaparang - Lake Manasarovar

Overnight in guesthouse.

Day 15: Lake Manasarovar - Paryang

Overnight in guesthouse.

Day 16: Paryang - Saga

Overnight in guesthouse.

Day 17: Saga - Nyalam - Zhangmu

Overnight in guesthouse.

Day 18: Drive to Zhangmu - Kathmandu

Drive to Zhangmu, after the immigration and custom formalities transfer to Nepal border. Later drive to Kathmandu.
Day 19:Free day in Kathmandu for sightseeing, shopping or relaxing.

Sightseeing in Some of landmarks that are the World Heritage Sites of Kathmandu Durbar Square, the sacred Hindu temple of (Pashupati Nath), the famous 'Monkey Temple' (Swayambhu Nath) and Buddhists shrine (Bouddha Nath.

DAY 20- KATHMANDU: DEPARTURE DAY

It’s your last day in Nepal! Grab some breakfast, and then take in some last-minute shopping in Kathmandu. We’ll make sure you arrive at Kathmandu International Airport with plenty time before your flight home. At this time, we’ll say our goodbyes and bid you farewell, armed with warm memories and gorgeous photos to show your loved ones.

Trip Overview

The Saga Dawa Festival is the most important religious festival in Tibet. It celebrates the birth of Buddha, his enlightenment and Parinirvana. This festival falls on the 15th day of the fourth month of the Tibetan Calendar. This is the holiest month in Tibetan traditions.This is a religious festival. People visit Buddhist temples and offer prayers. They celebrate with the family and the community, and there is a festive atmosphere everywhere. The main event of the festival is the replacing of the huge Tarboche Flag in Mount Kailash. Devotees bring small flags to fix to the big one, and the Tarboche flag is hoisted by a big group of people, including those that have come to witness the festival.It is a time of pilgrimage to Buddhist temples. The Tarboche Flagpole ceremony is an important event in Mount Kailash, which attracts a huge number of devotees and tourists. They come to participate in the raising of the majestic flag to mark the occasion of Saga Dawa. Many people gather for a festive picnic at the Dzongyab Lukhang Park near the Potala Palace in Lhasa. This picnic has now become a regular feature of the festival.
